Terms of use
Use Jambot normally and respect its security boundaries.
These terms cover moderation, GrandJam AI and Deep Work, search, tickets, verification, backups, and the public website.
Effective and last updated: August 17, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By using Jambot, you agree to these terms and the rules of the Discord server where you use it. You must meet the minimum age required by Discord and applicable law. If you configure Jambot for a server, you must have permission to manage that server.
2. GrandJam AI, Deep Work, and search
AI and DuckDuckGo search are optional features. Jambot asks for the global privacy acknowledgement before those features process and record a user's content. Deep Work may make multiple AI calls and can create threads or generated file attachments for larger tasks. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, and search results lead to third-party websites. Users should verify important information and should not send passwords, tokens, private keys, or other secrets.
3. Server controls
GrandJam is disabled in servers until a Jambot admin grants it. Participating server staff are responsible for choosing allowed AI channels, whether random replies are enabled, whether AI is ticket-only, Deep Work and file-output settings, support roles, moderation access roles, verification roles, and other server-specific settings.
4. Tickets and moderation
Ticket channels are Discord channels managed inside the participating server. Server staff are responsible for who receives support-role access and how ticket content is handled. Moderator actions can use Continue and Cancel confirmations, but the person approving an action remains responsible for checking the target, reason, and server rules before continuing.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Do not misuse active verification links, bypass verification security checks, or impersonate another member.
- Do not use Jambot's AI, search, tickets, generated files, or moderation tools to break Discord rules, applicable law, or another person's rights.
- Do not attempt to obtain Jambot credentials, hidden provider keys, private audit records, or another server's protected data.
- Do not intentionally overload the service or use Jambot admin testing tools outside authorized test situations.
6. Jambot administrator tools
Private Jambot administrator commands can inspect connected guild IDs, create short-lived one-use invites, grant or revoke GrandJam, manage AI DM rewards, inspect redacted AI errors, and run scoped Nuke Test channels. Access to those controls does not grant permission to misuse another server or ignore Discord rules.
7. Availability and third parties
Jambot depends on Discord, Firebase, Cloudflare, Groq, Vercel, DuckDuckGo, and optional network or advertising providers depending on the feature. Service interruptions, rate limits, provider changes, or server permission changes can make features unavailable. Jambot is provided on an as-available basis to the extent allowed by law.
8. Bot implementation
The public Jambot website provides installation links, feature documentation, policies, verification, and release information. It does not distribute the private bot implementation or a public bot-source package. Website code delivered to a browser remains visible as part of normal web operation.
9. Changes and questions
Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Use the official Jambot support server or the participating server's administrators for questions. Do not post credentials in public support messages.
